What changed in the latest version
33 added · 32 removedPlain-language change summary
The recent amendments to Bill SB 237 clarify the voluntary nature of a new mileage-based user fee program for vehicle owners in Virginia. The revised language emphasizes that no vehicle owner is required to participate, reinforcing the program's optional status. This change matters because it ensures that participation is entirely up to individual vehicle owners, potentially addressing concerns about mandatory fees and privacy in tracking mileage. Overall, the adjustments aim to make the program more accommodating and user-friendly.
