The recent amendment to the Town of South Hill's charter updated the timing for elections of council members and the mayor. Previously, the elections were scheduled for May 1998 and May 2000, but the amendment has shifted these dates to November 2022 and November 2024, respectively. This change ensures that the elections align with current timelines and allow residents to vote for their leaders every four years moving forward, helping to keep local governance up-to-date and relevant.
