Plain-language change summary

The amendment to § 54.1-1147 specifies that the Board will certify a person as an automatic fire sprinkler inspector if they hold either a Level II or higher Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems certificate from a nationally recognized training program approved by the Board, or a substantially similar certification. Additionally, the text clarifies that individuals without certification can perform inspections while in a training or apprenticeship program if accompanied by a certified inspector. This adjustment details the certification requirements and allowances for unlicensed individuals, which can impact how inspections are conducted during training periods.
