The recent changes to Bill HB 2056 clarify the definition of a threat against a supreme court justice, streamlining the process for how such threats are handled. Specifically, the bill now explicitly states that founded threats must be reported to local law enforcement, who will also share the results with the court's bailiffs. This aims to enhance the safety of court justices by ensuring that credible threats are taken seriously and followed up appropriately.
