Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to SB 1122 involve the removal of specific references to habitual offender proceedings from the Code of Virginia. This change means that the legal framework previously associated with habitual offenders is being repealed. By eliminating these references, the amendment aims to streamline court processes and potentially reduce the complexity of legal proceedings related to habitual offenses, which could benefit both the legal system and those affected by such cases.
