The revised version of House Bill 1159 removes a section that required coordination to address past inequities related to cannabis prohibition and enforcement. This change simplifies the bill by focusing solely on the legal framework for interstate cannabis transfer without the additional responsibilities for ensuring equity. This matters because it may streamline the implementation of cannabis commerce between states, but it could also mean missing an opportunity to address historical injustices in the cannabis industry.
