The amended version of Bill HB 1714 now allows school districts that already integrate financial literacy education into their professional development programs to apply for grants. This change matters because it expands funding opportunities for districts that are already committed to improving financial education, potentially leading to better programs for students. Additionally, the bill maintains provisions for collaboration and training among educators, which can enhance the overall effectiveness of these programs.
