The updated bill clarifies that every general contractor business must register annually with the Division of Consumer Affairs and must employ at least one licensed general contractor. It removes the requirement to inform the board within 10 days about changes in the identity of the licensed general contractor employed. Also, it specifies that no fee is required for filing an amended registration when there is a change in information. These changes are practical for ensuring ongoing compliance and reducing the administrative burden on contractors.
