What changed in the latest version
876 added · 852 removedPlain-language change summary
The latest amendment to Bill SB 772 introduced changes to the language regarding the standard nonforfeiture law for individual deferred annuities. Specifically, it clarifies and updates definitions around annuity contracts and their related benefits that apply to both new and existing contracts. This matters because it ensures that policyholders have clear guidance on the minimum values and interest rates applicable to their annuities, which can help protect consumers and ensure fair treatment by insurance companies.
