The revised version of SB 204 now specifies that if a public school academy receives a notice of revocation or nonrenewal, it must notify parents and legal guardians within one month of receiving that notice. This change emphasizes timeliness, ensuring families are promptly informed about the status of their child's school. Additionally, the new version maintains the requirement to provide information about students' reassignment options, how to access student records, and allows notifications to be sent via various methods if mail isn’t financially feasible. This update helps improve communication and support for families during potentially disruptive changes in schooling.
