Plain-language change summary

The amended version of SB 124 now includes provisions that give the Superintendent of Insurance the authority to issue civil investigative subpoenas. This means the Superintendent can formally require individuals or organizations to provide information or documents during investigations. This change is important because it enhances the Superintendent's ability to enforce insurance regulations and ensure compliance, which can help protect consumers and maintain fair practices in the insurance industry.
