The updated version of HB 195 introduces a tiered salary system for school nurses and sets their minimum salaries to match those of teachers. Additionally, it creates a new program for the national board certification of certain registered nurses. These changes are significant because they aim to improve the pay and professional recognition for school nurses, which can enhance the quality of healthcare and support that students receive in schools.
