APPROPRIATION.--Thirteen million five hundred w l n d 18 thousand dollars ($13,500,000) is appropriated from the general = = 19 a l fund to the local government division of the department of i a e r 20 finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2026 a t m m 21 for disbursement to the north central New Mexico economic d r e 22 development district to administer and expand a comprehensive c e s k 23 correctional reentry workforce development program.

The appropriation provided in Subsection A of this section shall provide for:
(1) the statewide expansion of high-quality workforce development opportunities for persons released from the custody of a correctional facility or a jail in the state, based on an estimate of the number of persons likely to be h released from custody each year;
u » r t h (2) with respect to released persons, g e l i intensive parallel case management, peer mentoring and resource h r i s navigation, all of which are intended to result in reduced h , e h t u g recidivism, increased employment longevity and the prevention e b l e e , gh of homelessness;
n d d i = = o h (3) the creation of up to two hundred l ] b ,d i a º r e r = seventy-two individual training accounts to be used by persons t e w d m a n o released from custody of a correctional facility or a jail in d m :
