Plain-language change summary

The recent changes to Bill SB 249 clarify that health care providers must be reimbursed by managed care organizations for any gross receipts taxes they pay related to Medicaid services. By outlining the need for reimbursement and requiring documentation of this separation, the updates aim to ensure that health care providers are not financially burdened by additional taxes. This is important because it helps maintain the financial viability of health care services, ultimately benefiting patients who rely on Medicaid.
