Plain-language change summary

The recent changes to House Bill 339 expand the definition of unlawful housing discrimination by explicitly including discrimination based on a person's source of income. This means that landlords cannot deny housing to applicants based on how they intend to pay, such as through government assistance or other income sources. This change is important because it aims to create fairer housing opportunities for all residents, helping to reduce barriers for individuals who may rely on alternative forms of income.
