The latest version of Bill HB 8 has undergone some key changes. It now focuses more on clarifying provisions of the Governmental Conduct Act, with an emphasis on the definitions related to business transactions. Importantly, it also removes language that previously declared public policy regarding conduct, which can simplify and streamline the bill's provisions. These changes aim to ensure that the rules are clear and enforceable, making it easier for public officials to understand their responsibilities.
