What changed in the latest version

In the latest version of House Bill 290, new language was added that allows for the forgiveness of loans made to certain borrowers under the Child Care Facility Loan Act. Additionally, it enables the Early Childhood Education and Care Department and the New Mexico Finance Authority to contract with providers or employers interested in creating or expanding child care programs. These changes are significant because they aim to make financing more accessible for child care providers, ultimately supporting the growth of essential child care services in the community.
