The updated version of Bill SB 127 makes several significant changes to the Professional Psychologist Act. Most notably, it now allows prescribing psychologists to administer injections, which can enhance their ability to provide comprehensive mental health care. Additionally, the bill establishes a committee dedicated to addressing any licensing complaints specifically against these prescribing psychologists, ensuring better oversight and accountability. This is important as it aims to enhance the quality of care while also safeguarding the public's interests.
