Plain-language change summary

The latest version of SB 18 has made a significant change by renaming the "Family Violence Protection Act" to the "Protection Against Abuse and Violence Act." Additionally, the bill has streamlined the introduction by removing a co-sponsor, simplifying the authorship. This name change is important because it broadens the focus of the legislation to include various forms of abuse and violence, making it more inclusive and relevant to the issues faced by victims.
