Plain-language change summary

The changes made to Bill HB 470 clarify the definition of "commercial motor vehicle" by removing unnecessary language about operating interstate versus intrastate. Additionally, it simplifies the weight thresholds for what qualifies as a commercial vehicle, now stating that any vehicle over 10,000 pounds or designed to carry more than 8 passengers qualifies as commercial. This matters because it broadens the definition and makes it easier to enforce regulations, potentially enhancing safety on highways.
