The recent amendment to SB 68 allows for electronic signatures on documents related to total loss vehicle settlements, removing the requirement for notarization. This change is important because it simplifies the settlement process for vehicle owners, making it easier and faster to handle claims without the need for in-person notarization. This can be especially beneficial in situations where time matters, ensuring that individuals can complete transactions conveniently from home.
