The bill has been updated to include additional historical context regarding Ukraine's independence and its democratic evolution, emphasizing key events like the 2014 Euromaidan protests that led to a shift in leadership. The changes also make clear the international agreements involving the United States and other nations that affirmed Ukraine's sovereignty. This matters because it highlights the importance of supporting Ukraine in the face of ongoing aggression and underscores the commitment of international allies to uphold its independence.
