Plain-language change summary

The recently amended SB 50 introduces a "Right to Repair Act" that defines important terms related to construction defects, such as what constitutes a defect and who qualifies as a construction professional. This clarity in definitions aims to protect homeowners by establishing their rights in case of construction issues with newly built homes. The addition of these definitions is significant because it helps both homeowners and builders understand their responsibilities and the procedures for resolving disputes over construction problems, ultimately leading to better constructed homes and fewer legal conflicts.
