The recent amendments to Bill HB 2 include adding specific definitions for terms like "efficiency," "federal funds," and "full-time equivalent," which clarify how state agencies will operate and report their performance. This change is important because it sets clear expectations and standards for state spending and accountability. Additionally, the bill's short title has been formally established to streamline communication about the legislation. Overall, these adjustments enhance transparency and help ensure that taxpayer dollars are being used effectively.
