The amendment to Bill HM 81 requests the Department of Transportation to explore ways to improve safety for both drivers and pedestrians on Unser Boulevard, specifically between Paradise Boulevard and Irving Boulevard. This study is needed because increasing traffic, including heavy commercial and construction vehicles, has raised safety concerns and negatively impacted the quality of life for nearby residents. By focusing on these improvements, the bill aims to enhance traffic flow and reduce risks in a vital area of Bernalillo County.
