In the revised version of House Bill 113, the language has been clarified to define the magistrate court as a "court of record," indicating that its proceedings will be officially documented and maintained. Additionally, the qualifications required for magistrates have been updated, and their jurisdiction has been expanded to cover the entire judicial district. These changes are important because they aim to enhance the accountability and efficiency of the magistrate court system, ensuring that it serves the community more effectively.
