The recent amendment to Bill SB 423 includes a key change that transfers the responsibility of the Primary Care Capital Fund to the New Mexico Finance Authority. This shift allows the Finance Authority not only to manage this fund but also to provide operating capital and contract for additional services. These changes could enhance the ability of health facilities to access necessary funding and support, which is critical for improving healthcare services in New Mexico.
