The updated version of Senate Bill 5 includes clarifications about its use as a tool for showing proposed amendments in context. Additionally, the language emphasizes that while it may incorporate amendments that have not been officially adopted yet, it cannot be used to propose new changes to the legislation itself. This matters because it helps ensure that legislators and the public understand the bill's status and the process for making formal amendments, promoting transparency in how the law evolves.
