What changed in the latest version
163 added · 290 removedPlain-language change summary
The updated version of SB 35 includes significant changes that revise the employment conditions and practice requirements for anesthesiologist assistants in New Mexico. One key change is that it now allows anesthesiologists to supervise a larger number of assistants, while also mandating that this supervision must be done in person. Additionally, previous restrictions on the counties where anesthesiologist assistants can practice have been removed, potentially expanding job opportunities in more areas. These changes aim to enhance the availability of anesthetic care while ensuring quality oversight.
