The amendment to Bill SR 1 introduces new senate rules for the 2022 legislative session, allowing senators to let their staff work from either the capitol or a remote location, especially if required to isolate for health reasons. Additionally, it mandates that if the CDC recommends masking, the presiding officer must ensure all members and staff wear masks during sessions. These changes aim to enhance flexibility for senators and their staff while prioritizing health and safety in light of ongoing public health guidelines.
