The recent changes to Bill HB 95 introduce the "Easy Enrollment Act," which aims to simplify the process for New Mexicans to enroll in health coverage programs. It allows taxpayers to indicate their consent on state income tax forms for sharing information needed to enroll them in programs like Medicaid or health plans. This change matters because it could increase access to essential health care services for residents by making it easier for them to enroll without additional bureaucratic hurdles.
