The revised version of Bill HB 6210 has clarified that treatment for certain drug offenses will no longer be available to first-time offenders charged with possession of 15 grams or more of methamphetamine. Previously, the bill indicated that treatment was not available for any amount of methamphetamine. This change is significant as it narrows the circumstances under which individuals can receive treatment, potentially affecting the support options available for those facing addiction issues.
