The amendment to Bill SB 271 adds specific references to different legislative sessions and clarifies the language around public-private partnerships in the context of public institutions of higher education and renewable energy initiatives. By changing "private-public partnerships" to "public-private partnerships," the bill emphasizes the role of public institutions in fostering clean energy education and research. This distinction is important as it reinforces the public sector's commitment to supporting sustainability efforts and potentially making education more affordable for students.
