The amendment to HB 232 adds clarification about the responsibilities of the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries, ensuring they will provide a list of agents selling hunting and fishing licenses and instruct these agents to distribute mail voter registration applications. This change is significant because it aims to make voter registration more accessible by leveraging existing state resources during hunting and fishing license sales. By streamlining the process, the bill seeks to encourage higher participation in the voting process across Virginia.
