Summary
Establish a work group to evaluate the feasibility of establishing and maintaining a Mental Health Crisis Intervention Hotline. 28 added · 26 removedPlain-language change summary
The bill has been revised to create a work group that will evaluate the feasibility of establishing and maintaining a Mental Health Crisis Intervention Hotline, rather than designating the Virginia Fusion Intelligence Center to directly establish it. This change matters because it involves a collaborative approach, gathering input from various stakeholders including health and safety officials, which could lead to a more effective and comprehensive plan for mental health crisis intervention. The work group will also provide recommendations for any necessary legislative, regulatory, and budgetary changes, ensuring a thorough and organized implementation process.
