The recent changes to SB 736 clarify the conditions under which a person can participate in a payment program for fines and costs associated with certain statutes. Specifically, the bill now emphasizes that participation can be terminated if an individual fails to adhere to their payment agreement. This adjustment is important because it reinforces accountability in the payment process, ensuring that individuals meet their financial obligations while still being able to participate in the program.
