Plain-language change summary

The revised version of Bill SB 191 includes a few important changes. Most notably, it specifies that if election officials or poll clerks don't arrive by 5:45 a.m. on election day, the provisions for their absence have been clarified. The amendment also confirms that election officials will be compensated for their services in all special elections. These changes are significant as they aim to streamline the process of staffing polling places and ensure that election officials are fairly compensated for their work.
