The updated version of Bill SB 636 has removed a reference to Chapter 180 of the Acts of Assembly of 1918 and Chapter 344 of the Acts of Assembly of 1920 from the list of obsolete acts being repealed. This change simplifies the bill by focusing only on older chapters that are no longer relevant and helps address issues of racial inequity. By streamlining these references, the bill is clearer and emphasizes the importance of updating laws that may perpetuate outdated or harmful practices.
