Plain-language change summary

The bill SB 2020 has been amended to change the hours during which alcohol can be sold on Christmas Day and Sundays. Previously, alcohol sales were not allowed until after 1 p.m. on Sundays, except on Christmas, and were restricted to ending at 8 a.m. on those days. The new wording allows for alcohol sales starting at 6 a.m. on Sundays and Christmas, which means people will have more flexibility to purchase alcohol earlier in the day. This change is important as it could impact local businesses and consumer convenience during holiday celebrations.
