Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to SB 5157 shifted the deadline for implementing certain provisions from July 1, 2022, to December 1, 2021. Additionally, the requirement for reporting to the governor and legislature about integrating value-based purchasing into health care contracts was removed. These changes are significant because they aim to accelerate the timeline for improving health care performance measures, potentially leading to quicker enhancements in services for clients, especially in mental health and long-term care areas.
