Plain-language change summary

The latest amendment to Senate Bill 780 increases the fee for nonresident archer and crossbow hunting licenses from $162.25 to $197.25, making it equal to the fee for a nonresident deer hunting license. This change is intended to standardize hunting license costs across similar categories. Additionally, the amendment specifies that the new fees will take effect on March 1, 2024. This matters because it aligns fees for different types of hunting, potentially streamlining the fee structure for the Department of Natural Resources.
