What changed in the latest version
44 added · 50 removedPlain-language change summary
The latest version of Bill SB 5490 reduces the number of judicial branch members on the interbranch advisory committee from eight to six, and removes nonvoting representatives from the offices of public defense and civil legal aid. This change simplifies the committee’s composition, potentially allowing for more streamlined decision-making. It matters because fewer members may encourage more focused discussions around improving cooperation and access to justice across the branches of government.
