Plain-language change summary

The updated version of SB 367 changes the guaranteed admission program to require that high schools prepare class rankings based specifically on students' grade point averages (GPA) for those in the top 5 and 10 percent of their class, provided there are at least 15 students in the class. Importantly, it excludes virtual private schools from this requirement. This matters because it ensures that more students, specifically those ranked in the top 10 percent, receive acknowledgment of their academic achievements on their transcripts, potentially benefiting their future educational opportunities.
