The updated version of Assembly Joint Resolution 105 now officially recognizes January 21 to 27, 2024, as School Choice Week and emphasizes parents' rights to choose their children's educational paths. It highlights the significance of Wisconsin's school choice programs, which began in Milwaukee in 1990 and have since expanded to support over 124,000 students across various options, including private, charter, and homeschooling. This resolution matters because it aims to raise awareness about the educational choices available to families, promoting the idea that parents should have the freedom to select the best fit for their children's education.
