What changed in the latest version

The recent changes to Bill SB 5273 broaden the scope from focusing exclusively on residential marine shoreline stabilization to including all marine shoreline stabilization projects. This means that anyone looking to replace marine shoreline protection must now adhere to the same guidelines aimed at protecting fish life, regardless of whether the project is residential or not. The emphasis on using the least impactful alternatives remains, which is important for preserving marine ecosystems. This change is significant because it highlights a commitment to more environmentally responsible practices for all shoreline projects, not just those related to residences.
