The revised version of House Bill 1075 adds a new section allowing the department to collect annual fees from commercial transportation service providers. This fee will help cover the costs of overseeing and enforcing the bill's provisions. Notably, the requirement for independent analyses of the effects on drivers associated with these services has been removed, which may reduce oversight on how the bill impacts those drivers. This change is significant because it shifts the focus from evaluating driver impacts to funding the administrative aspects of the bill.
