Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to Senate Bill 324 modifies the original proposal regarding the use of certain refrigerants. The updated bill now clearly states that neither state agencies nor local governments can prohibit or limit the use of refrigerants deemed acceptable by the EPA, provided that the equipment conforms to safety standards. This change is significant as it clarifies that acceptable refrigerants cannot be restricted at any level of government, which could help ensure consistency in their use and support environmental compliance.
