Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to Assembly Bill 1022 adjust the tax credit for married couples filing jointly. Previously, the maximum credit was $480, and now it has increased to $870. This change means that lower-earning spouses can receive a larger tax benefit, which could help improve family finances. It's significant for many households as it provides more support to those with unequal incomes.
