Plain-language change summary

The latest amendment to Bill SB 271 introduces additional requirements for the commercial driver training grant program. Now, individuals must reside in Wisconsin and obtain their commercial driver's license (CDL) in the state to qualify for the grants. Additionally, training must occur at facilities in Wisconsin that are already listed as approved by federal standards. These changes aim to ensure that state funding directly supports local training providers and helps Wisconsin residents obtain necessary qualifications for commercial driving.
