Plain-language change summary

The current version of SB 60 allows for the waiver of title transfer fees not only when a vehicle is passed to a spouse or domestic partner after someone's death, but now also includes immediate family members like parents, siblings, and children. Additionally, an amendment was added specifying that the law will take effect seven months after it is published. These changes are important because they aim to ease the financial burden on families during a difficult time by reducing the costs associated with transferring vehicle ownership after the death of a loved one.
